Teachers, parents, older siblings and wider family members – everyone will tell you how important homework is. The sad fact is, they’re right. However, the reasons they give – which may rarely extend beyond “because I told you so” – can leave much to be desired. There are, in fact, many very good reasons why you should do your homework. If everybody looked the same, we’d be tired of looking at each other. The mantra sold by Groove Armada all those years ago rings forever true; variety is certainly the spice of life. So, it follows that seems we don’t all dress the same, eat the same things, wear the same clothes or even use the same shower gel; we don’t remember things in the same way either. Between 800AD and 13000 AD, Norse tribes hung out in small pockets all across Europe. Being so far apart, they had a few attributes that linked them; similar hair colour, a common tongue, and an expansive mythological history. Complete with gods, goddesses, giants, elves, and warriors alike. Sounds like those guys loved a story, doesn’t it? Trouble was, back in 800AD, it was impossible to just throw on a TV, they had to get their stories elsewhere…
